Here is a recent project. Beautiful windows, but it’s time they get dressed!

My client really wanted the shades to be special, so in addition to beautiful silk fabric, I found the most beautiful beads for embellishment. They really add so much to the fabric and overall look…just the right amount of “wow” she was looking for!

We used gorgeous silk and beaded fringe for the bedroom shades. They provide the right mount of coverage: for day, leave them half way, and at night, just drop them. And notice how the shades go to the ceiling, drawing your eye up and emphasizing the height of the room. This is true in the bathroom as well. (this is also a great trick if you have small windows and want to add height)
This large window presented a bit of a challenge. Obviously, the window had to be fully covered at night for privacy. I decided to accentuate the curve of the window by using, not a rod, but gold leaf “rosettes” for the top and hold backs. The drapes are easy to move to the side in the morning.
